The double-headed eagle is a common symbol in heraldry and vexillology. It is most commonly associated with the Holy Roman Empire, the Byzantine Empire and similar to the Vijayanagara Empire's gandaberunda. The head on the left (West) symbolizes Rome, the head on the right (East) symbolizes Constantinople.

This buckle measures 3” x 3” and is designed to fit belts 1 1/2'” wide.
